Who we are

Dr Matcha Studio Limited and Dr Matcha Studio (collectively, "Dr Matcha Studio") own and operate LumaNorm Studio. Dr Matcha Studio was founded by Mengjie Fan and is currently 100% owned by Mengjie Fan, unless and until ownership changes in the future.

Summary

LumaNorm Studio processes imaging data locally on your device. We do not require accounts, do not run ads, and do not sell personal data. If optional data sharing is introduced in the future, we will update this policy before changes take effect.

Information you provide

The App processes data you choose to import or create, including:

• Images and related metadata (for example: OME-TIFF axes, pixel sizes, channel names)
• Pipeline steps, recipes, and parameter settings
• Analysis annotations such as distance, area, and count markers
• Exported reports and output files you generate

On-device processing

By default, the App processes and stores your data locally on your device. Data is not transmitted to Dr Matcha Studio servers.

No tracking or advertising

LumaNorm Studio does not include advertising SDKs or third-party trackers. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-app advertising.

Optional diagnostics

If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers through Apple platform settings, Apple may provide crash logs or basic device information. We use this information solely to improve stability and performance.

Support communications

If you contact us, we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and message content. We use this information to respond to your inquiry.

Sharing and exports

If you export data, files are generated at your direction and shared using destinations you control. Any sharing is governed by the terms of the destination service you select.

Third-party services

Your use of the App may be subject to Apple App Store terms and any third-party services you choose to use for storage or sharing. Those third parties process information under their own privacy policies.

Security

We rely on platform-level protections provided by macOS, such as sandboxing, file permissions, and device encryption. No system is perfectly secure, but the App is designed to minimize data exposure.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Removing the App deletes locally stored data, subject to any backups you control.

Legal bases and your rights

Where applicable, we process information based on contractual necessity (to provide the App), legitimate interests (to improve reliability), and your consent (for optional diagnostics). Because data is stored locally, most access, correction, or deletion requests can be handled directly within the App.

International transfers

We do not transfer your imaging data to our servers. If you contact us or use third-party services, information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own, subject to those services' policies.

Children

LumaNorm Studio is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we add optional cloud features or data collection, we will update this policy before those changes take effect.
