Presets: 24 (4×6), 48 (6×8), 96 (8×12), 384 (16×24). Custom sizes supported.
Groups
Smart color picks a high-contrast palette color.
Replicates controls how many nearby wells each group gets per Smart Fill cycle.
When Replicates is greater than 1, assigned wells are auto-labeled as Rep 1, Rep 2, etc.
Tip: click a group to assign it to the current selection. Use 1–9 for quick assignment.
Smart Fill
Apply common plate patterns to the current selection (or the whole plate if nothing is selected).
Fills wells in group order and respects each group’s Replicates as adjacent blocks.
Randomize keeps same-group replicate wells close together while balancing groups across the target.
Copy & Paste
Pasting supports TSV/CSV from Excel/Sheets. Paste creates or reuses groups automatically (optional) and fills starting at the selected top‑left well.
Export saves Excel (.xlsx) with Grid and Long sheets. TSV copies paste straight into Excel and keep your grid intact.

Arrow keys move between wells. Shift with an arrow extends the selection. Space or Enter selects a well. Keys 1 to 9 assign a group.
